Wedding FAQs:

How do you book?
  • Booking your date requires signing of a contract and 20% payment.  The rest of the wedding fee is due 4 weeks before the wedding date.  Clients can make payments at their own leisure as long as the balance is paid in full 4 weeks out.  Contracts and payment can be completed in person on paper, through mail, or all online.
Do you have backup plans for weddings?
  • We always bring 2 cameras to every wedding photographed and unlikely event of an emergency, such as family death or severe illness, a professional photographer of equal skill level would be a replacement.
What happens if it rains?
  • The weather is unpredictable, and unfortunately the STL area does not have many indoor photos options available without reservation costs.  We do have suggestions for outdoor locations that do have overhead coverage.  However, umbrellas can be a stylish and whimsical photo prop!  Our advice is to talk to your venue(s) about when you can arrive for potentially using the area for photos.
Do you pose?
  • Oh yes!  We love capturing genuine candid moments, but certainly wont let you look super awkward in your wedding pictures! Sometimes the most awkward feeling poses are the most natural looking images!
Do you have experience with a variety of cultures?
  • We've had the honor of capturing a vast number of different celebrations, such as: Same-sex weddings, Palestinian engagement parties/hennas/weddings, Indian engagement parties, Daoist wedding ceremonies, Chinese tea ceremonies, Byzantine & Roman Catholic wedding masses, Ketubah signing ceremonies, Latter-day Saints receptions, and more!
How much time do we need for family pictures?
  • This depends on the size of your families.  We suggest limiting your groupings to around 15 different combinations max to keep formals time down to 30 minutes.  In my professional experience, after 15 different formal combinations family members are "over it", and the couple is ready to start the party or move onto wedding party photos.  Some churches and venues have rules on how much time is allotted for pictures before or after the ceremony, so check to make sure we know what is allowed.
How long does it take to get the photos back?
  • 10 weeks for weddings and 4 weeks for engagement sessions.
How are photos delivered?
  • The photos and a print release are delivered by email in an online gallery 8 weeks post wedding, which features a download button that allows you to save all the photos in a large printable size to your personal computer for sharing and printing purposes.  It's the same idea as a flash drive or disc of your images, but this gallery is backed up for 10 years, so you can't lose your images for a decade!
Where are you located?
  • I, Lillian (the owner), work from home in St. Peters, Missouri.  I'm happy to meet up with potential or current clients at a local public place such as a coffee shop or restaurant.  Drinks and snacks on me!
How many pictures do we get?
  • This depends on the number of hours and photographers you choose.  However, 3 hours of coverage with one photographer is usually around 200+ images.  The All Inclusive package is usually around 500+ images.
How do we order albums?
  • Albums are usually ordered after the wedding.  I've always felt like it's easier for couples to envision what they want after they see the photos.  When you get your pictures, if you'd like to order an album, you'll use the "favorite" button in your gallery to select the photos you want featured in your album design.  After you've made your selections, you'll send an email, so I know you're ready for me to start designing the album.  After the design is complete, I send an online proof for you to approve or list changes.  I'm happy to meet up with clients and show samples albums, so you have a tangible reference on how the albums look and feel.
